Send a postcard to someone far away
Some days a whole letter is too much. A Letterbird postcard is a short note with an illustrated front and a stamp on the back, delivered to a pen pal or a friend a few hours later.
- 1

Write a short note
Twenty to a hundred characters, in your own font and ink colour. Pick a stamp for the back while you write.
- 2

Choose the front
Every postcard has an illustrated front: seaside, flowers, travel and more. Pick the one that fits the moment.
- 3

Off it goes
It arrives a few hours later. They can answer with a postcard or a letter, and the stamps go into their album.
Questions
Is it a paper postcard?
No, Letterbird postcards are digital and arrive in the app. They're kept in the recipient's mailbox and their stamps join the collection.
Who can I send a postcard to?
To a pen pal, to a friend with their ID, or to anyone on Letterbird through letterbird.me, even without an account.
How long can my message be?
Between 20 and 100 characters. Short is the point: a hello, a view, a thought.
Does sending a postcard cost anything?
No. Postcards have their own daily allowance, separate from letters, and are free to send.
